Instructions to reheat Tamales
Your tamales are fully cooked
and ready to be served after reheating.
1. If you
have frozen your tamales, we recommend placing them in the refrigerator
at lest one day before serving to start the thawing process.
2. Place
tamales upright in a steamer or a pot with a colander with water just
covering the bottom of steamer or colander. Do not submerge tamales in
water. (remember not to let the water dry-out ) Cover and place on
stove.
3. Reheat time will very from 10 to 20
minutes depending on the number of tamales, the size of the pot, and the
heat that they are being placed at. (We recommend no more than medium
to medium-high. Internal temperature should be 160 degrees)
4. If you
are using a microwave, wrap a wet paper towel around the tamale (leave
corn husk on) and heat for 35-45 seconds or until you have reached your
desired temperature.
We recommend that you keep them in the plastic
bag with the twist tie on to
keep from drying out.
